Nick Fury is a fictional character from the Marvel universe. He is the head director of S.H.I.E.L.D, a secret government organization. He was originally a part of a government strike force, known as the Howling Commandos, and is still in touch with the members of said strike force, like Dum Dum Dugan, currently. Unlike a lot of Marvel characters, Nick Fury has no powers. However, he is very skilled with firearms and is an expert at hand-to-hand combat. Nick Fury also ages incredibly slowly, which is not because of a super power, but because of a drug called the Infinity Formula. With it, he has been able to survive since the 60's and still be perfectly fit. In the mainstream universe, Nick Fury is a Caucasian man with brown hair, with parts of it losing its color on the sides. In the ultimate universe however, Nick Fury is African American and bald. This has led to some versions portraying him as Caucasian (like his appearance in the Iron Man cartoon), some portraying him as African American (like the Marvel cinematic universe), and others mixing them up (the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes series had an African American Nick Fury with hair).
